For Phase 1, OutHounds designed a Glulam Siberian Larch frame with a central beam able to span over 9m, yet suitable to support two retractable roofs. Bespoke aluminium gutters were also designed to integrate the retractable roof water drainage with existing downpipes to ensure no water pooled on the floor.
With a strong Glulam frame in place, for Phase 2 OutHounds could integrate height adjustable glass screens and a couple of awnings at the front of the structure to provide additional coverage and protect customers from side winds and rain.
