The Med Varia is new to the Gibus bioclimatic pergola range, designed to obtain maximum comfort and minimum energy waste whilst maintaining the Italian know-how in contemporary styling for outdoor spaces.
What makes this solution unique is its ability to permit full integration of both glass walls and vertical drop shade screens, essential to avoid the greenhouse effect during summer months This combination allows for optimal protection from wind, rain, noise, dust and UV rays.
The aluminium louver blades have motorised movement and can rotate from the horizontal closed position, to the open position of varying degrees ranging from 0-135. Sun exposure on the external side of the blades generates heat, which induces natural air movement from the bottom upwards, returning a refreshing breeze to the environment. Internal blade insulation can also be added to reduce the sound of rain on the roof by up to 70%.
The patented Side Seal between the blades and along the perimeter, together with their particular shape, ensures rainwater effortlessly flows to the ground through the integrated drainpipes. Each blade, along its entire length, has a seal that the adjacent blade rests on when closed, guaranteeing water and air cannot get into the structure.
The sliding glass doors and vertical shade screens are optional extras. LED lighting, available in three unique configurations, and electric heaters are also optional additions.
Configuration is available in the Freestanding Island version with four or six posts, Leaning version with two or four posts or Lateral Leaning with two or three posts. Unlimited coupling options available to create coverage for larger outdoor seating areas.
Movement of the louver blades is operated by remote control with variable power depending on the pergola dimensions.

The aluminium cover gives optimal protection of direct sun radiation, allowing full control of the amount of light that filters inside.

A pleasant and cooling breeze is enjoyed by slightly opening the blades to create the natural flow of air that rises.

Gutter system integrated into frame and leg posts neatly removes water to ground surface.

Twist Motion
The elegant patent two-bladed blades rotate with the help of two linear motors, allowing the roof to open up to 135°.
Sun Protection
The patent seal between each blade and along the perimeter guarantee perfect insulation from the external environment.
Integrated Side Screens
The structure completely integrates the ZIP roll-up closures inside the profiles, ensuring a perfect aesthetic solution and the possibility of inserting sliding glass closures.

Blade LED Spots
Rectangular 3 Watt LED spotlights integrated inside the blades to guarantee excellent light distribution over the entire surface covered.
Perimeter LED Spots
Rectangular LED spotlights integrated inside the perimeter gutter of the structure. Arranged every 50cm in groups of 6 per light point, each are 3 Watts.
RGB LED Strips
RGB LED strips applied along the inside perimeter, set a single colour choice from 7 options (white, yellow, orange, red, green, blue and purple) or create a light program.

Drop Blinds
Blind in self-supporting vertical box cassette with guides including ZIP system for complete wind and rain protection.
Perimeter LED Spots
Sliding glass walls on stainless steel tracks, in 2, 3 or 4 way solutions and up to 8 doors without perimeter profiles. Toughened safety glass from 10 to 12mm thick.
RGB LED Strips
Sliding and folding wall panels made of toughened 10mm safety glass without perimeter profiles.
